Review: Sony Vaio Series C (VPCCA2S0E)

The neon colours of the Vaio Series C range certainly stand out from the crowd - you can get it in a variety of retina-sizzling colours, including red, pink and green, as well as a more sedate shade of dark blue. The keyboard is backlit, so you can see it more easily in a darkened room or the dimly lit cabin of a plane, and the semi-translucent plastic casing also spills out some of the light from the keyboard so that the entire machine seems to give off a... The keyboard is a good size, and comfortable to type on - our only minor complaint about the design is that the trackpad and buttons are a little small for our chunky fingers.

Or maybe Sony just never got the memo. Not that we're really complaining. The VAIO Z puts every 13” notebook – and most mid-sized machines – to shame with a set of specs that defies belief once you take into account its airy 1.165kg weight.
