The 14in display is designed to match the size and resolution of Toshiba's 14in laptops, offering a 1,366x768 resolution as a secondary display for presentation or dual-monitor use. Toshiba has announced a secondary display for laptop users which draws both its power and its display data from a USB 2. 0 port, the screen is designed for portability: it doesn't need an additional power socket, can run from a laptop's own battery, and comes with a protective carry case that doubles as an adjustable stand. There are some drawbacks to Toshiba's approach, however: at 795g, it's surprisingly heavy - around the same as Apple's iPad 2, which also contains in-built storage, audio, communications and processing hardware - and due to its low power design...
