Better, more powerful laptops are available for as little as $20 more. Bloatware. The budget laptop will get you through email, Web pages, and the occasional extraneous task, just so long as it isn't high-end gaming.

The drive does spin at the same 5400rpm rate as most laptop drives but the higher data density does give it a slight performance edge. - Gateway's NV57H46u starts out looking like every other laptop that can be found for under $600. This is not a port that is typically found on many budget class laptops. If that isn't enough space for you, then you will be glad to see that the laptop also features a USB 3. It comes with 4GB of DDR3 memory which is typical for a budget system but it is using a slightly slower PC3-8500 memory that does impact the system performance slightly.
